Badghis Women Shelter

Badghis shelter project has been established in Qalai Naw city at two separate buildings as Shelter and Shelter office as Family Counseling Centre (FCC) since October. 2009.  This project is funded by U.S. Department of State under a Federal Assistance Award through US Embassy in Kabul, for twenty months. The Shelter project provides accommodation, food, living facilities, legal and psychosocial counseling, legal support, vocational training to at risk women and victims of human trafficking. Efforts are then made to find durable solutions to resolve their cases and reintegrate them safely as a common member of Afghan society. A Coordination and Cooperation Committee (CCC) also is established to facilitate resolution of complicated cases and prevent human trafficking. The project has significantly benefited at-risk women and victims of human trafficking and as such needs to be established on long term basis.
