Drug Addicted Adolescents Treatment & Rehabilitation Center

The Drug Addicted Adolescent Treatment Centre (DAATC) in Herat is funded by International Narcotics & Law Enforcement through the Colombo Plan in collaboration with the Ministry of Counter Narcotics, Government of Afghanistan The project started in March 2010 and has a contractual period of twelve calendar months. This clinic has the capacity of 50 clients which admits male adolescents between 9 to 17 years of age. The clients go through a comprehensive treatment and rehabilitation phases each comprising of three months and are provided with literacy classes, vocational training and entertainment facilities as well. The project is designed to have two batches of 50 clients each and as such caters for the treatment and rehabilitation of 100 drug addicted adolescents.
